Am I suprised that a 90's honda with aftermarket wheels and primered body panels ended up upside down in a ditch? No. Do I feel bad for the driver? Also no.

He had the wrong proportioning valve. Rear locked up, cold tires, etc, etc, roof caved in. It was a car for Lemons. He’s going to try to drive it back to Cincinnati tomorrow...

If I had to hazard a guess about the type of person who owns it, that car was already sufferin g a slow, painful death. This crash s aved it from a life of primer and fart cans.

He drove it hard all day yesterday and the night before without issue. He might have just dove too deep before braking, resulting in this.

A bunch nannies commenting. I am glad he is alright and the car is drivable. Sometimes you flip stuff having fun. That’s why we supposedly drive fun vehicles.

Like... it was a $500 car with a slapped together big brake kit. We flipped it back, he threw a radiator in, and it’s sitting in the driveway right now. It’s no big deal.

We were all getting a little more aggressive, carrying more speed, braking later, etc. I made my own brakes smoke later in the day. I’m okay with the explanation of mechanical issues. He didn’t swap a proportioning valve when installing the rear disc brakes, so of course he locked it up. Only one set of skid marks lead to the hillside.

I think he put his rain tray on there. The car made the five ish hour drive to Ohio without problems or being pulled over somehow.

Awwww. an 88 to to 91 CRX, A brilliant car but with short wheelbase that challenges the best of us,. Mine’s been on the roof twice and had the rear clip replaced once, . But it also won a lot of races including the Firehawk at Sebring and a 12 and 10 hour race. These cars have 9 lives. This will buff out. Fix it and run it, It ain’t dead yet.

ps, I am assuming Rota 15 inch x 7 wheels which would be an excellent choice. Anybody who diss’s them hasn’t raced a Honda with them....

Yeah, it had a little crumpling on the A pillars but we kicked it pretty much flat. He’s  caging it for Lemons anyway.

I think he told us they were borrowed from another Lemons team based out of a repair shop in Cincy. Rubber was more junk than it should have been but he’s okay.
